Bernard Ravina MD MSCE
Dr. Ravina is an Associate Professor of Neurology, the Director of the Movement and Inherited Neurological Disorders
(MIND) Unit, and the Associate Director of the Clinical Trials Coordination Center (CTCC) at the University of Rochester
School of Medicine and Dentistry. After obtaining his MD from Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Ravina completed residency
training in Neurology and a Fellowship in Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders at the University of Pennsylvania.
Additionally, Dr. Ravina completed a two year Masters in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics program at the University
of Pennsylvania Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. After training, Dr. Ravina spent four years at NINDS/NIH
where he was responsible for an innovative program of phase II clinical trials in Parkinson’s disease, as well as having
oversight of clinical trials in stroke and ALS. Dr. Ravina’s research focuses on experimental therapeutics and biomarker
development in neurodegenerative diseases.
